Honoring the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., this powerful vigil was originally held on January 20, 2025 for a to stand together in faith, justice, and hope. In the face of divisive anti-immigration policies and growing fear, we lifted up migrants and immigrants, proclaimed God’s faithfulness, reclaimed our sacred worth, confessed our collective sins, and reframed the narrative from fear to belonging.
Through music, prayers, and voices from across the denomination, including from our Council of Bishops, this sacred gathering called us to action, empowering us to embody the beloved community where all are valued and cherished.
Let us stay united in prayer to declare God’s justice, celebrate our diversity, and answer the call to love boldly and act courageously.
