Specifically, we ask you to share about an object or tradition that holds significance in your cultural or faith story. These stories should be personal and meaningful, helping to highlight the diverse experiences within our United Methodist Church community.

  • Your story will be featured on our "Our Sacred Journey" webpage, where it will be part of a larger collection of stories from UMC members across the world. The stories will be used to foster intercultural competence, inclusivity, and a deeper understanding of the diverse experiences that make up our church community. By submitting your story, you are helping to create a shared narrative that honors our collective struggles, triumphs, and faith.

  • Yes, you can choose to submit your story anonymously. If you prefer not to include your name, simply check the "Stay Anonymous" button next to the name field on the submission form. We will still need your contact information for administrative purposes, but it will not be shared publicly. Your story will be published without any personal identifiers.

  • After you submit your story, it will be reviewed by our team to ensure it aligns with the project's themes and guidelines. If your story is selected, it will be edited for clarity and then published on the "Our Sacred Journey" webpage, which will launch in January 2025. We may reach out to you for additional information or clarification if needed.

  • Absolutely! We encourage you to share multiple stories if you have more than one object or tradition that is meaningful to your cultural identity or faith journey. Each story adds to the rich tapestry of experiences that make up our community.

  • Yes, you will receive an email notification once your story is published on the website. We appreciate your contribution and want to ensure you know when it becomes part of our online collection.
